The Chosen does an amazing job at providing context & character development without compromising the message & spirit of the Gospel. That makes it real, relatable, & therefore relevant! The Gospel(s) are not meant to exist in a vacuum, but in the context of a messy world w fallible people. This is where the power of the Gospel is manifest! Transformed lives! Reminds me of the original poetic license contained in the ancient hymns of the ancient Christian Church whose lyrics are loaded with context & character development! I think the faithful of old would also love The Chosen!
