A film that kept my attention, that seems mainly to be about PTSD and false definitions of courage. Since what emerges is a message that violence has its own poetry, a poetry that is more compelling and authentic than some of the presumed poetry of writing courses, then i am reluctant to recommend it. Because there is simply not much "beauty" here in the sense that appeals to most of us. There is misdirected fury and disappointment and tragedy and bullying and cruelty -- though the visuals here are not nearly as gory as the average american action movie. Trigger warning: there is cock fighting prominently featured.
