It was an amazing movie. It shows that a slap doesn't mean only physical violence. It means that you don't respect the other person enough to even think before committing such a disgraceful act. In Indian society, parents slap their children and so many people have compared this with hitting the wife to be justified if the husband asks for forgiveness. But there's a difference between being a partner and a child and even child abuse is never justified. Violence in any form is not justifiable. Also, it shows other instances where women are bearing marital rape and abuse and still not filing for divorce and so the audience starts expecting Tapsee's character to accept that one slap. Let me draw an analogy where person from religion A slaps person from religion B and they have taken an oath of respecting each other as brothers but will they just let it go? No, this is never going to happen. Another thing is that marriage is not a lifelong commitment and it can be terminated using the concept of divorce. Any person in a relaxed can't just slap the other because then that shows that they don't have the respect and love inside and it was all just a show. We need to start supporting women like her so that this never ever happens again to other women. The imagery and storyline have ben beautifully executed and. no character has been disrespected
