I'm not in the habit of reviewing Christmas movies. But I just spent about 30 minutes laughing...at a blooper about the Tuba at the end of the film and for that blooper alone, I would watch it. Ok, seriously though, it's a Christmas movie with a great cast and it's funny. The writing was pretty standard for a Christmas movie, even if some of the plot sounded like a Van Helsing type videogame promo disguised as a movie. I hope it wasn't written by AI. (Shudders). What it lacked in heartstring tugging, it made up for with comedic timing. I mean... I love Eddie Murphy and It reminded me of the Christmas I got my older sister an Eddie Murphy comedy tape for Christmas and we got through half of it before my parents realized they shouldn't be letting the younger ones listen to it during Christmas breakfast. What a great memory, though. Just watch it. It's no worse or better than Elf or some of the less ancient Christmas movies out there.

The film is worthwhile seeing, Damon and Bale turn in stellar performances, the writing, editing, cinematography, production design are all top rate. The only thing wrong with the film is it's title. There was very little Ferrari in the Fords vs. Ferrari. Ford was, as many top ambitious executive heavy corporations are, it's own worst enemy. Perhaps Ford vs. Ford would be a more honest moniker for the film.
