Do you know what. If you’re looking for a nice easy Christmas film. That made me laugh a few times then watch it. Anyone who gave this 1* and wrote lengthy comments about how awful it was are the people who look for flaws in every film and the type of people that would make a complaint at a Karen’s restaurant. I watched it with my 9 year old daughter with no expectations, I thought it was a good idea for a film. I normally read reviews before a film and if I had read all these reviews I’d have never watched it. And I am so glad I didn’t. I’ve actually told a few of my friends to watch it with their kids because I thought it was brilliant. It might be up there with one of my favourite Christmas films. I’ll repeat again ignore all the other idiotic reviews and give it a watch and make your own judgement. If you’re watching with a small child. There is no sexual jokes or inuendos that an under 16 would understand anyway. Honestly, a great Christmas film I enjoyed it. Wasn’t expecting it to be so good. Edit. It seems to be after reading all the reviews that it’s all the Christian’s that are offended. Im white, English, and I don’t understand why everyone’s so offended. Everyone looks into everything so much nowadays.

I'm giving this a 1* because of the sheer disappointment. I normally go off reviews before I watch stuff, which I did this time. Every review seemed to be great, some people even commenting how it's the best series of the year. This was a waste of 8 hours I'll never get back. It could have been up made in an hour and half film to be honest. It made no sense at times, it was just lame and I disliked it. Each to their own. The concept of it was good, 2 episodes through I was like oo this is gonna get good, ep3 still waiting. End of the series, still waiting! Reason I watched it all the way through, is coz it was a short series, and I thought well I'm half way through, May aswel finish it. But nar even the last episode was shocking. The blood didn't even look remotely real either. I'm just very annoyed this is somehow got so many 5* reviews. I can't even think of a certain genre that would even enjoy it. God knows. Just boring and trash. I would love to speak to someone who genuinely loved this series and told me what part.

Actually really enjoyed this film. Very tense and gripping. Can't really say much without spoiling it, but brilliant.

Okay. It was good, hense the 4* rating, as I was tired but it kept me watching. Very good acting by the main woman actor! I love a good acting of a sociopath. The ending though, seemed like it was rushed and I was quite disappointed. It had potential for a very good ending. Wasn't expecting what happened at the end but, yeah could have been better that's all I'm gonna say. Also some of the music in it was bloody awful. And some of the blokes acting, like the scene where him and his best man was on the bed, it was a scene where it was just dreadful. Could have acted it out better myself. But hey, whole idea and concept of the film very clever and kept me on my toes. Would have been 3* but based on the twists, 4* is my rating

2.5 out of 5 star. Is a pretty realistic score. Anyone who rated it 5* has never watched a film before. Those who compare it to escape room. I can see why, but escape room is 100 times better than this. The only advice I can give you, is don't go into this film with high hopes, and maybe you'll enjoy it a little. Nothing really exciting happens, it made me jump once, not a lot of budget for this film I don't think which you can tell easily. I wouldn't watch it again, nor would I recommend to watch it. I was prepared for it not to be a great film going by the mixed reviews, if I had gone into this film expected it to be good, I would have beeb disappointed. Thats all I'm saying.

No spoilers!!! Well I shall never read reviews and judge what other people say about it before I watch one again. I thought this was an exceptionally okay film. With twists and turns. Yes there was some bits of the film where I was like .. ermmm well that wouldn't happen. But... whatever. Its a film not a bloody documentary. It kept me on my toes and I enjoyed it. It wasn't the best thriller I've ever seen, nor the best film I've ever seen. I was thinking maybe 4/5 but I've given it a 5* because of all the lame perfectionists that's given it a 1*. Also I thought it was the end, and then bamm. Twist turn.

I'm going to give this film a 3 out of 5* without going to much into it. Although it goes into great detail and shows the audience real life situations in a post apocalyptic world. I was left disappointed as it didn't really go anywhere. I was waiting for something to happen. I also have so many questions that were left unanswered. This is going to have to be one of them films I will unfortunately end up forgetting about. I'm not sure why so many people have left 5/5. Even after the film half an hour later I am sitting here thinking it could have been better in so many areas. But maybe I was expecting Something different. The film left me on the edge of my seat, with no climax. Imagine a film with a man and a son running away to god knows where by the way, trying to survive with so many twists but it not actually going anywhere. Infact imagine a film like the hills have eyes, and a dad and a son running away from these people in a dead world, trying to find food and drink, surviving, but not being captured. I just yeah.. I have no words for this film okay. Just that it's a 3* and the people who have put 5* I wouldn't be friends with.

Well ... 2* out of 5. But a 2 at a very narrow push only becsuse I didn't turn it off. I love a good natural disaster film, but finished the film disappointed and wanted more. The whole disaster was about 10-15 minutes long. I mean it wasn't the worse film I've seen, but probably one of the worse natural disaster films. It will be one of them films that I'll forget I've seen in a year if I'm honest. Didn't feel any connection to any characters at all. I thought the acting from the child's parents was very poor and quite lame, especially when the mother was searching for her. Wasn't enough emotion. The scene where she noticed her daughter wasn't with the babysitter, a parent would be mortified and screaming and crying and panicking, there was none of this. Infact there was silence and showing the mum mortified, but even I could mime that scene. At the end where they are all sat hugging each other as a family, what was we supposed to connect to, the audience wouldn't feel anything whatsoever, because the parents were too busy working rather than protecting their own child! There was no kind of an aww feeling about it. This was the type of film where it was 10-15 minutes of special effects of a tornado, and then seeing the after effects. But if I'm being totally honest, like I've already said this was one of them films you needed to feel connections with characters so you can feel like you're there in the moment. But there's no other way to say it than, I knew I was watching a film the entire time, I felt like I was watching people trying to act out the after effects of a tornado and lended up judging everyone by thinking, well you wouldn't act like that, you wouldn't do that. Or you wouldn't go there, it was very unnatural. Overall good idea of a film, good few special effects, but bad acting.

I have to give this 5 out of 5* Probably one of thee best series I have ever seen. The portrayal of anxiety was so well done, so well acted and nothing like I've ever seen before on television. I have immediately come on here after finishing this series and I just have to write this review. I'm a 30 year old male at first when watching this I thought wow what am I doing, what has my life come to, I'm a bloke, this is weird. But on top of the 2 jobs I work, I have managed to finish this in under a week. Working at 8am-11pm at night I still made sure I had time to watch 1 or 2 episodes a night. I recommended it to my best friend who has just come out of a divorce and said she needs to watch this, she enjoyed it so much that she caught up with me. She also spent the day looking forward to get home, get a glass of wine and chill out with it on. I also have to say, the acting was phenomenal, I have never ever fallen in love with a characters personality so much. Every single episode I loved Alex more and more. Probably because I'm a dad myself and she just played the mother role so perfectly. I normally read reviews before watching series's but I'm glad I ignored the negative ones. All I will say is, if you're a parent or have a child, this is a perfect series to watch. If you have no interest in children, parenthood or anything this really isn't for you. I say this because there was parts of this series that I strongly connected to, there was parts I shouted at the television in anger, I was so emotionally involved with this and am upset that its now ended. Like I said above if you're not into children or parenthood I don't believe you're going to emotionally connect to the characters, feel what Alex feels and just wish her for a happy ending. And if you aren't going to feel any of that, it's pointless, becsuse after 10 episodes of watching this, my utterly favourite bits are all the emotion side of things. Once again though the portrayal of anxiety in one of the last episodes was utterly amazing to watch, I've been in that hole myself, it's so hard to get out of, it literally made me freeze in my sofa and feel swallowed up myself. I felt what Alex felt. There's nothing more I can say to be honest, 10/10! Phenomenal! Edit- I have read 1-2* reviews. And pretty much all critics moaning that it could have been better and that Alex was dopey, stupid, silly. I'm pretty sure the reason she acted thoughtless at times is because thats how an anxious, depressed, hopeless person can act with no thought whatsoever. Also some people thinking why did Alex run off in the middle of the night and not in the morning. Can I ask you all one thing ... When do people overthink the most? When do peoples anxiety kick in the most? When do people's thoughts run wild? When is depression most likely to kick in? Mostly at night. Most people with depression and anxiety can't wait to get to sleep to wake up in the morning and feel fresh and crack on with a new day. On this specific night, she didn't want to wake up in this same trailer in the morning, so she made the rash decision to take that risk and run into the night and good on her! Also the fact she has a 3 year old child, it's much more wise running into the night when they're half asleep and can sleep in the car whilst you can think through your next plan of action, than a child that's wide awake in the morning and got a whole day ahead of them of confusion and questions, not giving you a second to think what you're going to do now. Now I don't know about you, but I'd say that's a much wiser idea. I'll let myself out.

I'm gonna give 2* I watched the whole film, I could have fallen asleep but I didn't, so that's why I rated 2 and not 1*. But at the end I sat there thinking maybe like a lot of people did, what kind of ending was that. What have I just watched. I was waiting for something amazing to happen the whole way through because of the potential it had. I just think the whole plot, was different, the story line was a good idea, something unique which is why I was expecting a decent film. But it just had so much potential but I believe it was poorly rushed or something with no imagination. There could have been more suspense. There could have been more of a story, I wasn't really emotionally attached to any of the characters. The guy from prison, who stole the car, and then took the daughter back to her mother, she then stuck a gun to his head as if he was some kind of threat, but the lovely guy just took your daughter back to you, yet he's still some sort of danger to your family? The producer could have written it and directed it to give the audience more feeling and emotion towards the guy, so when he died, we felt some sort of sorrow. These type of films aswel, normally it goes in and out of there past to how it all was before the insanity, so we got to see what these characters were really like so we could have connected to them. Basically, apart from the young girl, coz she's young, (that's the only reason) could have all died all suddenly and I really couldn't have cared coz I knew nothing and didn't care about any of them. I also think the whole insanity side of it, there could have been a scene where you tricked the audience into thinking something happened when it didn't, just to make us see what it's like being in there eyes, seeing her son beating her with a knife, was just something unrealistic, could have just made the audience think it was more believable and tricked us. I also think the whole ending was like I said already, utter nonsense. 5 minutes before the ending, the young girl realised what saved them, they try it and bamm it ends. Just like that. So the whole point of the film was the audience go find out how they're gonna cure it, and then bamm, all rushed in space of 5 minutes. This also could have easily been at 12, as the violence was moderate, they threw a few swear words in it, and that's about it. I just yeah, overall I'm disappointed. I really hoped this would be a good film, but i could have made a better version of this myself, and never took a media lesson in my life. All you need is slight imagination and spontaneity to think of better ideas and plots.
