You'd think that a father would be prejudiced in favor of his daughter's writing, but it's not so. I haven't seen Keara more than a few times in the past 15 years, thanks to her mother (another story) but my background as a college professor, writer, and father all come together here.
I think that her writing style is far more mature than her age, and her first book is very impressive. She integrates an interesting story line of fantasy and her own reality, very good character development and continuity, and just the right blend of predictibility and surprises.
Even if I didn't know her at all, I would recommend this book. And I'm anxious to have her sign my copy. And I'd like to see what she writes next!
