It seems to be very similar in many ways to an MS I submitted to Australian publishers called' Dread'. I know there's no copyright on ideas but its good to know where the original idea may have come from.

Well scripted and acted. Martin is accused of being insensitive to people, yet it was his sensitivity that stopped him being a surgeon. He over- compensates for his acute sensitivity with rude, pompous behaviour (which is an obvious cover). Louisa is an ideal foil. Pauline is a very likable character. The others are somewhat stereotyped as village yokels.
