This game is amazing. I’m saddened by those who could not sympathise with each character in the game and merely hold the Abby is evil, bad VS Joel is good mentality. This game takes you on a journey and makes you realise the complexity of humanity , emotions and choices . You realise there is no such thing as completely good or completely evil, not one character would fit into these categories , including the beloved Joel and Ellie. I do agree that the timing of events could be different in order for this game to be even better for example *SPOILERS* Joel should have been killed off later than in the start , and Abbys story should have been told earlier before she killed Joel. Because of the sequencing I feel like that’s why game players held such hatred for Abby. I mean I really disliked her in the start aswell, however after her story unfolds and learning her truth , her humanity where she spares Ellie TWICE as well as saving those kids, we see that she is not so evil after all. The plot and outcome of Ellie’s revenge may have seemed worthless and time wasted as she did not kill Abby in the end , however I thought that it really showcases human emotions and the guilt/ptsd Ellie was desperate to escape from. I’m glad she didn’t kill Abby. I loved this game, no game has ever left such an emotional toll on me.
