Real. Katherine Hahn. Wow. The casting overall was amazing.

Flawless. Harmon’s last game was a metaphor for the series because it was perfect. The acting, casting, the score, the cinematography, the writing, everything. I watched it twice in a row to really review it the second time around and loved it even more the second time. Some highlights: The actual games, Anya Taylor-Joy obviously outstanding, Marielle Heller was CAPTIVATING, nailed the character’s arc, the dark moments, the giddiness, I can’t wait to see her in something again. The Janitor, so great Even the store owner - I waiting for his scenes the second time around. The cast was so good, and so well casted. And the score, WOW. Beautiful. Anya deserves all the accolades and more. Congrats everyone.

Everything about it is phenominal.

Great acting, great cinematography. Unfortunately, about 30 minutes in I didn’t want to watch anymore since (spoiler) the main character is going to die and she doesn’t seem super bothered by it. There wasn’t any hope planted in the audience’s mind early on. No maybe cure, nothing they were trying to get to. It was just like, “welp, let’s go on that trip we always talked about while you die a quick death.” Like, why do I want to see this? Also, the timeline of events was confusing. There was no visual indication or anything between the earlier story and the later parts of the story. And since pre-pandemic and post pandemic sort of bled into each other it became convoluted. So essentially I’m confused, but what I do know is we’re all gonna die and there’s no hope. Yay! But at the same time, I’m still glad the dp and producers, and writer, and actors took the time to make the movie.
