Every chapter/position/drill/game is detailed and has many teaching points. Each has an intro, setup, and procedure which provide the why, what, and how for every item as well as structures for practices. I've used this extensively for several years. Coaches and players are assigned leadership roles for drills/games/etc. Also, practices are structured to cover as many skills as possible over the course of 4 weeks and include games/competitions. Great application of John Wooden's "four laws of learning": explanation, demonstration, correction, and repetition.
Easily the best baseball coaching/practice/teaching tool I've seen in my 40 years of coaching - 71 yrs old - played until 51. It's all about teaching character and the game.
