She-Ra and the Princesses of Power puts a refreshing spin on its 1980's predecessor, focusing on themes of escaping abuse, accepting yourself, and understanding the true power of love. With groundbreaking LGBT+ representation, realistic images of femininity and womanhood, and beautifully redesigned characters, She-Ra remains my all time favorite sci-fi/fantasy animated series. This series has made a substantial impact on the animation community and is sure to influence the creation of similar shows for future generations.
