Just as Wiki says, RWBY Chibi is a comedy spin-off that exaggerates a character's trait, For example, the fact that Blake is a Cat Faunus, or the fact that Nora has a craving for Ren's pancakes. If you guys didn't realize it, this whole set up was targeted for children. However, it isn't boring for normal RWBY fans to watch, because there are inside jokes that only RWBY fans can get. Overall, watch this AFTER watching season 1-3 in RWBY because there are some spoilers.

RWBY volumes 1 and 2 were disastrous, animation clipping, random animations, and etc. But as the story goes on, their animation and story telling skills becomes more polished. It becomes more exciting. The only massive pet peeve I have is that they take too many breaks. Lmao, it's already been 6 years and we just started.
