Coming from a person who actually also left a jewish ultra orthodox lifestyle, I will tell you that there are no actual `lies` in this series about the community she left where the rules are the same for all the ultra othodox. There is just an unfortunate trade off for a superficial mega rich lifestyle as if that could somehow be a preferred existence. Every culture around the world, religious and secular, has its strong and weak points. Choosing a secular lifestyle does not mean it has to be self centered, superficial and meaningless. The series would have had more `heart` if it dealt with some of the deeper questions about why people choose a particular lifestyle.
