Ok. I do not hate the show. Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson are great actors, great chemistry. The storyline is decent, acting is good, but IT IS NOT ANNE RICE. That is my issue. They should have made this a stand-alone series, NOT attached to Anne Rice's vampire universe. The original story is a masterpiece. There is very little of Anne Rice in this show, besides the names of the characters. This show exists in the woke universe, where white is evil, creole vampire gets justified revenge for racism, why the need to inject such woke tropes into a show? Why not just go with the great story it is VERY loosely based on? Claudia is not a likeable character in this one, at all. Assad Zaman as Armand is ok but relegated to that character? This show does such injustice to Anne Rice's creation. Anyone who is saying this show is true to Anne Rice's book did not read it.

This is not for everyone. People will get upset about how Christians are portrayed, or the Yaqui, or Mexicans, or the fact the lead is a white American kid. Remember, he LEFT the US with his mother, running into Mexico, so the story is about him, duh. This was well done. The storytelling is gripping, has nice cinematography, and has an ending that makes me hope there is another season. That last episode gave me chills. It is a show, it is not reality, so people need to stop the griping and take it for what it is, entertainment, but really well done.

3m ago I tried with this one. The only saving grace for this show is the opening montage of dance and movement. This show has ZERO likeable characters. Actually no, that's not true, Neveah's mother was the only likeable character. The plot sometimes makes no sense, or is rushed, there is little room for character development. The dialog is bad, like cheese factor over dramatic bad. You want to like these characters, but you just cannot. The show does not allow you to. There is drama over nothing, characters changing personality mid episode, and the sex, which there is plenty enough, is done in a boring sterile way. Neveah is the lead, I guess, and you wanna like her but, she is just a trope, angry black girl from the hood moving on up, with no redeemable qualities. One of the most horrible characters, Ramon, is one of the best. This show should be pushed off the building, and taken off life support. There is no need to inflict the world with another season, until it is recast, retooled, another writer, another director.

I really want to like this game. I preordered, got the ultimate version which was more than a hundred bucks. I should have waited. Visually the trailers were deceiving. Valhalla is a step down from Odyssey. Odyssey was visually superior, had a better storyline, had better control mechanics. Valhalla feels clunky, rushed, with hurried animations, it feels like I am playing a Ps2 game sometimes. The maps are sparse, finding things are needlessly complicated, the power up tree is complicated. I have gotten mad too many times over not being able to fight because of bad control mechanics. I really hope some kind of patch fixes things. Buy basic if you must. This game has promise. But right now it is really lacking.

There is great potential here. The premise is a good one, but there's something wooden about the acting? The writing? It just seems predictable, lacking serious emotion, none of the characters were easily likable. One of the horsemen was easily more likable than any of the messengers themselves.

If I could give ZERO stars I would have. I mean I guess there was a touching message of bullying, but otherwise it was a painful thing to watch. It was Adam Sandler being, well, Adam Sandler, in his usual character profiles, usual slap stick, predictable jokes, it was more painful than getting a tooth drilled or a root canal. Sandler did not disappoint in giving what was expected, remaning true to form. Thanks for reminding me why I dislike Sandler movies so much.
