While I love non-traditional biopics as well as experimentation in storytelling (ironically Jackie being one of the best) this film was on par with Mommie Dearest, being so unintentionally funny, maudlin, pretentious, melodramatic, cliched , and foremost , showcasing one of the worst acting performances I have ever seen. I have seen Stewart act in many films, always being disappointed (and distracted) by her constant nervous self-consciousness and sheer inability to LET GO and let the CHARACTER live. This performance felt like an SNL skit spoof of an SNL skit. I found myself wanting to urgently escape from her into the beautiful English countryside that she was attempting to escape from. Prosthetics, makeup and hair do not make an authentic character.
