Fantastic -- and the cinematography is breathtaking also. Loved it. Watch it every five months or so since I discovered it.

I am blown away. This is a hard subject. I woke up recently after 69 years on this earth and for no real reason other than compassion, gave up meat, pork and chicken. Dairy and fish just seemed too hard for me. But now I will give up dairy. It seems so useless -- my one little contribution -- of not eating dairy in rejection of the dairy business, and the life many cows endure. But it IS the one thing I can do right now. I'm pretty sad tonight having watched this film this afternoon -- it took me all these years to be able to watch a film like this, having been brought up on meat and dairy (like everyone). I hadn't even considered the environmental impact of feeding all these animals so that WE (humans) can eat them. That really is the main focus of this film. I applaud the filmmakers. Be brave.

Season 1 was good, but Season 2 lost me -- I tried ... numerous times, but I couldn't get pulled back in to the story -- I felt I was watching actors sort of rushing from scene to scene -- Outlander is much better in the switching of centuries thing. I like these two lead actors though. Maybe it was the timing in the second season... don't know -- ended up not caring.

Amazing. Incredible. Watch it in original German with English subtitles (if you don't speak German) to get the full effect -- there's a dance scene at a crowded club in either Episode 1 or 2 that shows us what the roaring 20's was all about. Blew my mind. The development of the characters, the different story lines, the cinematography -- it has everything that makes a series great (like GoT, of which I am a huge fan). It pulls you in -- and wonderfully, it gives us a look at Berlin in a time RIGHT BEFORE Hitler -- answers questions as to what it was like then (although this is NOT another story about Hitler, it's intriguing how little he and his "brown shirts" are mentioned) -- this series humanizes the German people who were just going about their business -- laughing, politicking, loving, drinking, living life fully -- and the series gives a broad sweep to the music and art that were prevalent at the time, as well as providing a good solid [and twisty] crime story -- I don't feel like I've just finished a TV show, I feel like I've really BEEN somewhere. I intend to wait a week and watch the whole thing again.
