Some spoilers -- I didn't give this a one star because it would be unfair to all those that did a good job on this movie. The actors, producers, were good, and I even must say the writing was interesting. I really enjoyed a lot of this movie. But... The end...I hated. I don't think I've ever seen a movie where I disliked the hero as much as the commander in this film. After making a decision (without talking to his wife) to leave his wife for 10 years looking for ET's marbles, he decides to NOT return home after having his wife wait for him for five years. What...A... Jerk. What's crazy is, the only reason he kept going is because of a fourth ball that was sending a signal. It wasn't even a logical decision. Your going to sail across the solar system another 30+ years to get another ball that does the same thing as the balls you got? Very bad ending. Based on that ending I really want to give this a one star.
