This game is, by far, one of the worst Treyarch-published Call of Dutys that is out there.
Multiplayer:
The multiplayer is horrible, one of the worst multiplayers, in fact. I couldn't tell you which is worse, Modern Warfare's or this ones. It's so unplayable. The guns have no kick to them at all, they're literal lasers. The game takes no skill at all to play. It's more of a patience game to be honest. Even if you did well, however, you still probably wouldn't have fun due to the fact that SBMM exists in this game, and boy and boy, is it turned up to a 10. You can do well in one game, and the next game you'll be put up against xXxFaze_Snipergod360xXx who no-lifes this game 24/7.
If you want to even have a chance, you have to use the MP5. If you want to actually get kills, you need to use this one weapon to even have a sliver of a chance of winning. It doesn't matter though, because at the end of the day, this game is unfinished. I've crashed so many times it's unbelievable that this was published for $70. The game feels rushed, the gunplay is unrealistic and not even unique/fun, it's just boring and rage-inducing.
8 maps, a majority of them aren't good. Around 30 weapons, you only use 1-2. A bunch of gamemodes you've already seen before. Nothing unique, fun, interesting, or even good about this multiplayer. Nothing at all.
Zombies:
This gamemode is actually fun. It's the mode that I've pumped most of the hours that I have in this game into. It's new, it's unique, it's playable, and, unlike multiplayer, is actually fun.. sort of.
The grind to level up your guns to get attachments and stuff is absolutely ridiculous. It takes FOREVER to get your guns leveled up. Oh, and did I mention that (depending on the gun) you have to level it up to level 60?? It's ridiculous. Why is there 60 different levels on just one singular gun. Who needs that much attachments?
All the camos are behind this level wall, so if you even want to go for dark aether (dark matter but for zombies) you need to pump like at least 100 hours just leveling up all the guns that you're not even going to use.
Did I mention you can't equip camos on your guns in zombies, (besides the one you spawn in with) so these camos are actually useless?
Campaign:
The campaign adds almost nothing to this game. Sure, it's actually decent, but who buys Call of Duty games just for the campaign?
This time around, the campaign isn't even long, it's around 5 hours. I'll give Treyarch some credit, there are cool levels in this game that we haven't seen before, but I thought this game was supposed to be in between Black Ops 1 & 2, and it's supposed to tie those two games together. How come we barely play as Woods or Mason?
The entire campaign is about stopping Perseus, a secret Soviet spy who ends up trying to blow up the entire continent of Europe with American-made Nukes. It doesn't build on the world that we already know and love, it genuinely just feels like an entire side-quest or sub-plot to the campaigns that we know and love.
In total, this game is absolutely not worth the $70 that most people are paying for it, and you could get better games with the around 150 gb that you would use to download this game. Reconsider your choices, and stop buying Call of Duty games. They're getting worse and worse each year, and they're taking up more and more space on your drives.
