I saw this when it came out, my date made it about half way before she bolted. I could not believe what I was seeing. Something so dark and ambitious with an ending that let's you off the hook without being corny or predictable. It was my new favorite thing. It's become a Halloween movie night regular. The way the film builds, so slowly and maintains that atmosphere. Even though not knowing what the hell is going on is a big part of it, it's still just as nerve wracking a thrill ride as it was 31yrs ago.
