A Masterpiece! Gosling's character draws you in and never lets go. Dark but thoroughly enjoyable.

This movie had potential but in the end (Literally and figuratively), was a disappointment. There are 2reasons for this. It failed to convince me that she loved him more than any other or really loved him at all. The other weak point was going beyond the suicide scene to give a glossy Hollywood fairy tale finish. It would have worked much better if had gone black and then credits right after the 1-2-3 countdown..
