Alternatingly powerful, thrilling, terrifying, ugly, stunningly beautiful and emotionally piercing.
A brilliant narrative experience, superb combat/stealth execution and puzzle solving gameplay mechanics. Outstanding performances, particularly the actress who soulfully voices Amicia, I hope she gets a bafta game award for best voice performance. And the voice performance of her little brother, Hugo was also superb, embodying the innocence, love, rage, confusion and reactions to the darkest of events.
My only gripe is that on PS5 FPS appears to be locked at 30fps even if your are playing on a 1080p TV which is what I have. But having said that, it was not a deterrent, the stunning visuals of both beauty and ugliness more than compensates.
This is an epic journey and highly recommended for those that love a powerful narrative on the level of Last of Us games and unique combat/stealth adventure gameplay.
Absolutely Game of the Year for me.
