I'm extremely moved by this movie. I didn't expect to be, never heard of it. It is so gentle, warm, emotional. You can truly feel the love that develops between them.. The final love scenes are exquisite, so tender, so real. Mel Gibson is very handsome, I watch only his movies from the 80s. He only then had that face, eyes, that connection - it is not only the look, it is the whole package. I adore Years of living Dangerously and Mrs. Soffel, didn't expect to be knocked off by this one as well. Also beautifully portrayed family, so simple yet so loving and understanding - a rare find. This movie is a rare find! And just read that it is the only movie made by this director. How crazy it is!
