Horrible. This movie suffers from bad conception (the choice to superimpose human faces on CGI), bad execution (the formentioned CGI has so many slip ups including missed hands and floating feet etc etc... also the scale was off ), misguided artistic choices (who thought it would be a good idea to have Rebel Wilson peeling off her fur to reveal a jazz vest underneath, and then horrifically dance with baby-faced mice and cockroaches while eating them btw) and inconsistent tone. It's lacking magic and is more like a psychedelic bad trip. There are so many moments that make you cringe because it just isn't working. The only thing going for it is that it is a nostalgic nod to the musical which many theater nerds hold in their hearts. The actors, while I'm embarrassed for them, did the best they could and showed up. It's a shame really. What a disaster, why did they rush it?
