Often times with contriversial films or books, as such is Lolita, people miss the deeper meaning of the production. The film is not meant as a soft pronography for perverse paedophiles, but as an insight to teenagerhood, obsession, and what love is not. Before watching the audience must remember that the story is told from an unreliable perspective of Humbert, and therefore many of Lo's emotions are entirely up for interpretation. A great film which leaves a lasting impression and sparks discussion, as director Adrian Lyne intended. Wonderful actors as well.
