My favorite of all Bogart's movies. :) Released three years after I was born. :) The bad guys turn out to be the good guys and fix a family after they had escaped from prison. :) It's a wonderful feel good movie. :) Songsmirth

There were many things that are inaccurate from the Bible but the singing and songs are brilliant. :) It was the sister of Pharaoh who found Moses and named him. His sister was watching and suggested to the Princess that she knew a woman who could nurse him. The Princess agreed and so his Mother helped raised him. It was no surprise to him that he was a Jew. Things like that. ho hum

I'm an older American lady and I just keep coming back to this drama! I don't know how many times I've watched it. Many. I'm watching it today and I almost didn't want to find out who played what characters! lol They really are excellent actors although I get frustrated with the writer of this thing. ::Don't read the rest if you haven't watched the drama please but go to where I have put this character, "@," down below. / :) The girl whose the Crown Prince's cousin (yuk) is instantly in love with him when she meets him as a girl. The one thing I do not understand is her obsession with him. He's always showed his contempt for her. Always. But when he goes to war with the Mermans.. here she comes all dressed up in armor! And she's married to his Grandfather! Yuk. And she tells his Uncle she'll die with the Crown Prince. She's never held a weapon in her life and hasn't a clue how to use a weapon but there she is. And his Grandfather knows she's in love with the Crown Prince and lets her do anything she wants! All she has to do is cry to get her way. And how she treated Su Su and his grandson should have gotten her the death penalty. But no, her godhood isn't even revoked and she's sent to guard that stupid bell. She's a bully and a witch and because she warn the gods in heaven they couldn't send help. Once again we find out after she'd done that to the boy and to the Crown Prince she got off easy. But he STILL doesn't kill her for getting the weak Crown Prince killed. What was the writer thinking? At the bell she did nothing and encouraged the earth god to do nothing. Even being a mortal she cheats on her husband. ho hum And ironically he has one arm too like the Crown Prince had at one time. But I still am addicted to this drama! lololol Another person commented on the sets which are so lovely. I enjoy looking at all the things the artists painted. The clouds in the background actually move when the consort is being judged. Fun how she calls all of them villains and wants heaven's lord to believe they are all lying and she's the only one telling the truth! He really was a fool to believe her. I wish they would have brought in the lying and wicked maid and given her something where she's HAVE to tell the truth. :) The people who created the sets should have got the highest of awards in China. Those are talented artists. And all the clever and suited wardrobes of the characters are just right. :) His love for her despite everything is why you keep watching. Not even in the mortal world is he unfaithful which is a tribute to the writer. I looked up the percentage of men and women who cheat on their spouses in this world. Of course I haven't a clue how people would find that out. :) I was surprised that 23% of women commit adultery and 32% of men do. Sickening. I was married 45 years ago and I've always been faithful to my husband. I don't understand why someone would cheat. I met a professional who was an expert in this field and he said the saddest part is that the grass turns out to be never greener on the other side. Meaning if a person will cheat on this spouse one time, what makes the person think it won't happen again? How could you ever trust a person who shattered their husband's or wife's life and their children's hearts just to be with them? "You can't build your happiness on the misery of others." It makes no sense./@" Anyway, this is a very moving story and I recommend it to anyone. It's like the Roman and Greek gods who cheated on their spouse's too. Some gods! Do watch it. The special effects are excellent as well as the makeup and amazing hairstyles. No pimples. I've been trying to figure out how they ever created the hair style of Su Su. I would love to see how they made her hair to look like that. :) I hope the people who did the actors hair got awards as well. This thing must have cost a fortune to create.
