I tried to like this movie… but it was just another awkward movie of people trying to be woke. Julia, Eddie, and Jonah are faves of mine but ugh… it just didn’t ring true or work.

I loved the first two episodes and then unfortunately it just continued to spiral downwards from there. I am a Toni fan but was shocked that in her dramatic crying scene at the deathbed of a fellow cancer patient, she actually didn’t shed a tear and it was very obvious. Why was young Jane a foot shorter than Collette and didn’t look remotely like her??? Andy was a hard character to like with her erratic decisions. Geez… it had ridiculous scenarios like the planned car crash with Charlie… who did not have a tear shed over him either. Unanswered questions just glossed over… Ugh!

I’m sorry but this show is just awful. Finally turned it off at the 26 minute mark, with 16 minutes to go. The acting is bad, the dialogue is bad… preposterous across the board.

I really loved it and have watched several times. I am a big Paul Rudd fan who is once again heartfelt and wonderful in his role. Steve Coogan is now a fave too. This movie is funny and real in that it shows untraditional love ❤️ in a very nice way.
