I am flabbergasted how well done Ryan Murphy's latest psycho-drama that takes place in Hollywood's times long past "Ratched" is. And so incredibly tight, not a single frame is superfluous. Sarah Paulson is flawless playing the title role and just as in "Feud" it appears the masterful acting of Judy Davis will once again end up stealing the show (depending upon whether her character of Nurse Bucket is allowed to live, of course). I literally had to tear myself away after the first 2 episodes because like an after dinner brandy following a six course meal, I wanted to savor this entertainment like no other in television or film and not squander the scrumptious melodrama all at once. Melodrama that is at times hysterically funny yet presented with a detailed devotion that's meant to pay homage to as well as emulate the time period the show seeks to serve.
