This movie is hated because of the fanboys who are mad this movie was made in the first place. I can safely say that 95% of the 1 star ratings have absolutely nothing to do with the actual movie itself and everything to do with their opinion on what David Bowie would want. The movie is about failure, and we all seem to forget that he had an extremely difficult time taking off in America. If you don’t want to watch your favorite musician fail for almost 2 hours, then of course you won’t like this movie. This is a low budge indie film, for what it is, it’s fine. There’s nothing extraordinary about the film but it certainly does not deserve the hate it gets in the slightest.
