I've been playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus off and on since the game came out around the end of January 2022.
If you've ever played other open world games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Minecraft, etc, you should feel right at home with this game.
The game takes place in the Hisui (Old Sinnoh) region, where you're tasked with completing the world's first Pokédex.
Without going into heavy spoilers, I'll admit the game's many areas are fun to explore. There are lots, and I mean LOTS of different Pokémon to catch, battle, and evolve in this game.
While the game does give you lots of things to do, some of it does get repetitive really quickly. Specifically the game's story mode. Defeat one "boss" and the story pretty much sends you after the next one almost immediately.
My only other complaint so far is the amount of inventory space you begin with in your satchel. (Yes, it's called a "satchel".)
The twenty slots you begin with fills up pretty quickly, so you either have to craft like a madman, manage it really well, or expand your space.
Overall, this game is what I was hoping for and more. My final score for Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a delicious 4 potato mochi out of 5.
