Terrific book evolved into an impressive, powerful series with outstanding acting and superb production values. Probably the best limited series of the pandemic era, with the only drawback being that it is a stand alone experience confined by the novel. No, there is no fantasy element, unusual violence, crime or action with memorable villains or heroes, and for all the sensual depictions there is no gratuitous erotica. It is just a tale about normal people, but unforgettable for what that is.
