Wonderful costuming and captivating scenes depicting life and "filth" in an early Georgian era. It's also a savory depiction of the hostilities between England and Scotland before there was a United Kingdom or a Great Britain for devotees of colonial Britain's tyrannical treatment of their vanquished captives.
