I don't think there's ever been a movie made with more cliches. It might have struck some chords in 1948, but now it's just compost for The Naked Gun.

what a sly, sneaky film. some scenes made me gasp bc they're so funny. the whole movie put me in a time and place, like reading a good book. so many wonderful, subtle touches. highly recommend if (and only if) you can slow yourself down to enjoy it.

dynamite series. astonishing mixture of religious cults, scifi, action adventure. smartass clever and hughly entertaining.

start with a kitschy 50s romcom and slowly overlay with random, winged existential dread. a movie that doesn't have an ending, leaving us where we are.

a New Age version of Eraserhead

OK, lots of posing - after all gorgeous leads - but outstanding script all over the place. beautifully constructed. smart.

two of the greatest actors of their generation chew up the script. plot? we don't need no stinkin' plot.

wonderfully paced. great character actors.

Just wow! Ungodly acting by Phoenix. Script, directing, score, scenery - all outstanding.
