Spaced Out (Mattie)

Only thing that surprised me in this anime was the MC’s father’s death. After that, it felt like they were turning a wheel with the cast’s names on it to decide who dies next. It was a dull and depressing experience. The relationship between the MC and her mother was very believable and refreshing though, and the MC is definitely a teenager who acts her age. I wouldn’t be kidding when I say “spoiler alert: everybody dies, the end.” I started expecting everyone to die, and when they did, I felt like saying, “hmm, yup. Saw that coming.” The thing that got me back to biting my fingernails was the scene where KITE swims underwater with the doctor after the tide rises. But of course, someone dies in the next scene. And then KITE follows. Haha. Anyway, good show if you want to be depressed and watch some slightly shocking gore. That about sums it up.
