Valerie Casper

I was disappointed to have such little dancing, disjointed, convoluted plot and odd characters. Also, the music was good but seemed to lack the feel of the full Nutcracker. Maybe it needed more reprises, and more moments of ballet woven in. I thought Morgan Freeman's character seemed out of place to me with everyone else speaking in British accents except him and his strange eye patch. My kids (11 and 9) loved it, but I had a hard time liking it. Visually interesting, but story didn't draw me in enough to truly enjoy it.
