This show is amazing!!!! I am absolutely obsessed, I hope it doesn't get cancelled. Let me start by saying that the original series was shot a while ago and it was for a different audience entirely, so if you think you can come back and expect it to be the same, it's simply not gonna work like that. The reboot is for a new and younger audience and I think they are doing a pretty good job so far. I honestly wished it got the same attention as the other CW shows because it's such a hidden gem. I absolutely love season 2, I love the relationship between the characters and the new plot. The writers are really good this year. I recommend this show, season 1 is a bit slow but after the first 3 episodes, it gets good. I think people should give it a chance instead of bashing it.
