Loved the movie had read the novel in 1974 when I was studied in class 5 in Kolkata. At that time all the characters Meg the pretty one Job the writer and thinking woman Beth the pianist and Amy the headstrong girl who loved to paint and not the least Laurie the rich next door neighbour. The movie or rather the book adaptation is really good. Jo stands out. Women had to struggle so much then and they continue to even now. A good book or movie leaves an imprint on you.
