I tried to be open-minded, but that was hands down one of the worst movies I've ever suffered through. If I wasn't watching it with a friend, I would have stopped about 2/3 of the way when the ridiculousness hit a peak

Awesome! A little slow at the start with character development but really picks up and gets exciting.
The science behind a lot of it is spot-on, at least for my basic knowledge and appears closest to how everything would work up there... andclearly not the Easy Button other space series have taken.
