Stepping in the role of Usnavi on a big screen is a hell of a task and a task that Anthony has completed gracefully. I have finally understood what LMM meant when he said, "Usani's role was always meant for Anthony Ramos'. Melissa is truly a treat to watch. Her voice itself is music to my ears. Everyone has dedicated blood, sweat, and tears to their characters and it shows! But I want to mention Gregory's Sonny, Oh my, oh my, this kid is a star. I won't be surprised if he is cast as Usnavi in near future. His dialogue delivery is so on point that I keep revisiting the scenes he is in. Overall, please please watch this beautiful movie that Chu and LMM has created. It deserved so so much love.

I missed this movie because I had never liked what Oscars display and I assumed that I would not like this one too and I skipped it altogether. In 2021, I looked at the cast and thought to give it a try. I did not know about Boston Globe, Spotlight, Geoghan or anything. I was astonished, stunned, and shocked to find out that it was based on true facts. There were priests who molested so-so many children, there was an investigative team that unearthed those crimes, there was a Marty who took the decision to scrub the case on the very first day of his arrival to the Boston Globe, there were people who hid such heinous crimes, the investigation won the Pulitzer prize. What I like about this particular movie is that it is not dramatized. The music is so apt, never felt excessive. There is an ensemble and there is no principal or supporting cast. The movie needed to focus on the story and it exactly did just that. It is a must-watch and there is not a single flaw that you can point out.

If you are someone who is aware of the actual events of Chicago 7/Chicago 8, you might not like it as well as others who are not aware of the same. Nevertheless, Sorkin took the creative/poetic license for this movie, and I guess that makes it okay? The movie is brilliant and why won't it be? Look at the cast, they are known for their effortless flair for acting. Yahya Abdul played the character of Bobby Seale and you are going to cry at one point in time, I promise; he has put his heart out in the courtroom and you can't look away from it. Redmayne is smart in the way that he picks his movies carefully, he will never pick anything which is not substantial. As expected, he played the role of Tom Hayden highly convincingly. However, you will find many subreddits that will say that Hayden in real life was nothing as portrayed by Eddie. But I guess, it is the discretion of Sorkin and he should be held responsible for the character. Now Sacha Baron is a quality actor and we all know that. I personally liked how he acted in this particular movie, he made the movie more lively you can say. However, it is said that the character of Abbie should have been played by a younger actor with a better accent and the authenticity is lost. Again, Sorkin. Jeremy Strong is a star!!! No one else could have played Rubin better than him. I hated Frank Langella, so I guess, he acted well. Mark Rylance is one amazing actor. The dialogue delivery and expressions were so on point that I was left stunned. Ben Shenkman was equally convincing as Leonard. The calm and composure were exactly what was needed from the character. I have a mixed feeling for Gordon's Schulz because again, Sorkin molded the portrayal. And I wanna applause for the supporting cast as much as the principal cast; I am not sure if there could have been a better ensemble than this. The ending of the movie is not satisfactory, to say the least. Highly dramatized. It could have been much much powerful and effective but Sorkin chose to go a Disney-way. Why? Because he is Sorkin. He has to sorkinized it. Please watch this movie. It is highly important to know that we have to hold our government accountable. We have to criticize them when needed. We choose the government to serve the people right and we have a right to apprehend them when they are not doing the work they are paid for. That's all and yes, there is Michael Keaton but his performance has not left much of the impact on me.

Anthony Hopkins, Ryan Gosling, and crime. What more can you ask for? Ryan's Beachum is an ambitious guy but with emotions. He is all set to leave his low-paying federal job to become a corporate hot-shot but he has this one last case to solve. Anthony's Crawford is intelligent, cunning, and heartless. He shot his wife but wants to get away with it. But does he? You have to see it yourself. The dialogues between the two are believable, well-acted. There are witty dialogues too to make you smile in between. However, the story could have been a little more eccentric or mysterious than it actually is. These two actors are capable of much more than this. And Oh! Rosamund Pike is there. But she is just eye-candy. No substantial dialogue/monologue delivery. Nothing memorable.

You think that there are Clooney and Gosling and you get an amazing movie? No, you do not. The story is too weak to hold such great actors. It is not enticing enough to keep you glued to the screen as you would expect. There are no Whoa moments at all. You would see a small banter between Clooney and Gosling, and you would get Danny-Rusty vibe, but that is not it. There are not enough moments/dialogue exchange between Clooney and Gosling to make the pair likable. The chemistry just does not take off. The role of Evan's Molly is next to nothing. This movie is primarily on a political campaign and she is the only woman who has something little to do in this but it is insignificant in the end. I believe if this movie was made during last couple of years, her role could have been more important. All in all, disappointed. The three stars are given to the actors for keep going on.

It is a simple yet interesting story of a chef with a troubled past to add another Michelin Star to his hat. This movie gives us a little peek of a kitchen where all the magic happens. The struggle of each and every staff member to keep up with the pressure of performing the best because you are expected nothing else. Everything needs to keep moving from pan in the kitchen to the plate of a customer. It has to be top-notch, otherwise, the bin is always there. Bradley's Adam is ferocious. I wish we could see more on his character development. It does feel little rushed to make him look a good guy. But, everything else falls into place and you would be happy to see every character getting his/her satisfying end. I can never take the heat of the kitchen tbh.

Indubitably funny. It is one of those movies which seem real but not real, you know what I mean. Andy and Kit are so immersed in their character that you would forget that former is a Brooklyn nine nine star and the latter is none other than Jon Snow. Nowhere you would feel dragged or little too much. The excruciating pain of playing and watching seven days of a lawn-tennis match is something that you would feel too. Kudos to each and everyone associated with it.

I feel sometimes we are morally pressured to give thumbs up to a movie that really did not speak to you. I do not remember the time when Redmayne was not able to impress anyone with his performance. He can convincingly play any part in the world, let's get that out of our way. This is the first time I was acquainted with Alicia Vikander. Alicia's Gerta will bring you to tears. A once-happy wife is going through the journey of her husband figuring out his gender-identity. It shows. I understand it is a true story, with dramatic flair/changed; it still lacks its foundation. One fine day. Einar slips into a dress and viola, he realizes that he is a woman. I would have liked to see how a happy painter decided to leave his life behind for the search of his true identity. Anything that Lili goes through after realizing that she is a woman cannot be connected to her previous life because we are not shown. I, for one, was not able to relate to Lili's journey. I was left as confused as Gerta as to what actually triggered Einar's gender identity. It surely just cannot be a slip dress? And Lili's actions only made me feel remorse for Gerta, that should not be the case.

Honest Review: The name is "How to get away with Murder" and it shows. But there are far too many murders and the reasons for committing those murders are so dumb, I can't even. The very first episode shoes Keating to be such a high-profile lawyer that everyone adores and would go to any length to merely impress her. But as the show progresses, the charm wears off. Keating loses here credibility very early in the show (it has many seasons). I get it that they have to fill the empty space with something, and I am not bothered with the sex, but it seems meaningless, dragged most of the times. If we talk about performance, Keating gave me "Jessica Pearson from suits" vibe in the initial running, but that was not it. Jessica was unpredictable with her expressions and dialogue delivery whereas Keating is always in a rage with the same temperament. I would like to say that her portrayal gets better when she takes the make-up off but that's about it. There are no layers to her acting. I do like Liza's Bonnie and Charlie's Frank because their characters have depth to show their different emotions at unexpected times. Other Keatings 5, not so much. There could have been more backstory to Keating 5? But again, nothing promising. Even Wes performed mediocrely. He could have done so much. But his sad puppy thing did not work for long. All in all. I gave three stars because they kept going on and some of the murders had interesting theory and there is diversity, you cannot take that away. Two stars are taken for disappointing me.
