Here are the positives:
• good performance by Dennis Quaid, who is not one of our great transformational Actors to begin with. But I respect the work he did in this film.
• the Director did good work with the actors & thriller aspects of the film. It worked.
• the young couple were fine in these two roles and in a few moments, actually, very good. Not familiar with either of them, so was happy to see that.
The negatives:
•the film’s portrayal of white people I found highly offensive. If Black people were portrayed this way, there would be protests outside the theatres and they’d be calling for the film to be pulled. Am I surprised by this? Of course not, it’s a continuation of the Black Agenda being pushed in an effort to portray White People as crazy, stupid, silly, irrational, etc. and for more on that watch almost every single TV commercials & episodic TV shows and look at how Whites are portrayed versus Blacks. Its a reverse racism narrative, over and over. And if you’re a White Apologist, and there are MANY of them, they will deny this, as will most of the Black folks.
