This film is set on a town named Doomdooma in Tinsukia district and it was the epicenter of the atrocities caused by ULFA militants in the region.
It had created such a fear and havoc among the area that many groups of youths pretending to be militants involved themselves in kidnapping and looting as the area is known for huge tea garden market. Every now and then there would be clash between arms and the militants with people dying everyday and most of them being innocent.
The film is highly successful in telling the story that it wants while keeping in mind the social message.
I am from this region and the film hits me different because I have grown up listening to gunfires at night and hiding ourselves in the tea gardens.
