Personally this is one of the rarer occasions where a Rotten Tomatoes rating cannot be trusted. A lot of the negative reviews I read mention political correctness as a major undertone. My review is much less complex - this movie is just plain daft, dumb, nonsensical and most of all gross. I will remember tis movie for all the wrong reasons and I wish I could get it out of my head. I am actually traumatised. Good cinematography and screenplay don't make up for any of this movie's failings. I can only think it won Best Picture because the competition that particular year must have been poor. Just avoid it.
