What people need to understand it that Harper lee did not want this published, her maid was the one who published it in her name with the intention of making money off of her, since she found the draft while cleaning and Harper really couldn’t do anything about it since she was old and I’m pretty sure had a disorder. And so if there’s any hatred and people saying it isn’t as good blame the Maid for that.
