From all the trashing online I expected a trash movie..what I got instead was a decent (s/r)equel with some badass scenes. Some complaints with pacing but overall had some scary moments, some disturbing and even emotional. Is this as good as the original? Hell no. But I don’t think it needs to be. I recommend a watch in theaters ..also as a diehard fan of the OG (just saw the 50th anniversary couple days ago) there is a scene that genuinely made me squeal. Im actually looking forward to the next film!

You can't come into this expecting what was the animation. This was a superb, beautiful and funny modern take on the story we all know and love. The colors were vibrant, Aladdin and Jasmine had amazing chemistry, the music (and the new song) was so good, Will Smith was GREAT. My favorite of the film is how beautiful they portrayed Arabian culture (some Indian too), the clothing and dancing, 9/10
