I had read this book in two days! It had been for a reading project my school had devised, and I had believed that I wouldn't have much liked this book, as I solemnly ever enjoy much to do with school, yet it still intrigued me and interested me, where Jane Eyre had failed to do so. This is not me implying that Northanger Abbey is more interesting than Jane Eyre; I am simply stating that that is the case for myself. In my opinion, the story is well thought and contradicts and pokes fun at classic gothic novels, avoiding clichés that most gothic novels share.
