From a lover of Film but someone who abhors war, Das Boot is an impressively crafted directorial masterpiece. We see, feel and almost smell the near to unbearable confinement on this 2nd WW submarine as it’s Captain and crew battle their largely unseen but certainly heard and sensed enemy above. Superb acting outstanding writing and masterly camera work.
