I watch Sunday Night Football each week and enjoy it. But this afternoon I am watching the CBS broadcast of the Vikings-Jaguars game. BETH MOWINS is doing the play-by-play and is doing a really solid job in the booth! She is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the game and it comes across in her delivery. Ms. Mowins is communicating accurate, appropriate and informative details as well as any male announcer I've ever heard. NBC would do well to catch this broadcast while you can (only Qtr 2 now) and watch Beth Mowins prove that women CAN handle the rigors of what has so far been the male-dominated football broadcast booth. I look forward to seeing more female announcers in the booth. I am certain that Michelle Tafoya, who is wonderful, can do far more to enhance your broadcasts if she is given opportunities to do so.

I am actually watching the Vikings-Jaguars game on CBS. Beth Mowins is the play-by-play announcer for this game and she is doing a really solid job. She has a firm grasp on the game, is enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and providing accurate and appropriate details . Fox would be well advised to get a look at this broadcast while you can. Beth Mowins is demonstrating that women CAN function effectively in the predominantly male-dominated football broadcast booth. I bet Erin Andrews and Kristina Pink can do far more to enhance Fox football broadcasts than they are now!!

I am watching the Dec. 6 Vikings-Jaguars game. I would be enjoying it less were it not for the play-by-play of announcer Beth Mowins! She is doing a really solid job! Ms. Mowins clearly understands the game, is keeping pace, and providing accurate, informative and appropriate details. She is also enthusiastic and "easy on the ears". Kudos to the Vikings and CBS for giving Ms. Mowins a well-deserved opportunity today. Beth Mowins clearly belongs in the booth and I look forward to hearing more of her in future broadcasts. I hope this performance opens the door for other qualified woman to enter what has been a male-dominated professional venue! GO BETH !!!
