Better than Infinite Jest? No. But, it is certainly on par with the Master's magnum opus. It is tedious, but DFW's writing often is, and it is in the tediousness that you find yourself becoming immersed to the point where it is quite difficult to extricate yourself from the material. It took me a long time to read another book after IJ - nothing else seemed to live up to its standard. Then The Pale King came along, and I find myself in the same position.

I've seen all of the movies, even Solo and Rogue One, multiple times over the years. However, I don't consider myself a Star Wars buff by any means. I'm just a casual fan of the movies.
I thought the "finale" was great; movies like this, like TV series finalise, are always difficult to deliver. I think this one did.
