I watched Univ of Fla vs. Arkansas yesterday on your network & enjoyed it tremendously(Go Gators!!) You may view the following interpretation to be some what insignificant but if you examine the root cause (with an open mind) of the systemic racial problems we have in OUR country you'll see I have a very valid point. Not to diminish the performace of Fla Q.B. Trask(he has a phenomenal day) but from the network's point of view, the camera coverage was all about him. His reciever 's made outstanding catches but the majority of the camera coverage was of Trask. Even when he wasn't on the field. The other players deserve to have their accomplishments celebrated as well. Here's the real problem, everything is told from White societies perspective, with little or no consideration for others. The media is a very powerful tool, people believe what they see on T.V.(Large companies wouldn't spend millions on a 30 sec commercial during super bowl halftime it this is not true). Its time for those with real power to make a change, do so. However, preparing one's self to function in what ever role opportunity lands us in is a must. People of color deserve better opportunities, we've have to struggle to get what others take for granted. You may ask your self, "what in the hell does a football game have to with racism in America "? Take a look, its obvious, like everything else.
