One star becoz of the classic auteur style of cinematography and Ranbir s n Bobby Deol s acting. Rest of the movie is pure dumbness masked in stylish and fancy action sequences which are mindless.. it's a complete waste of time and money so it's best to avoid this movie. Honestly they should have named it "sty" instead of animal becoz this movie is even an insult to animals as well.

The visuals arent normal key based hand drawn animation you'd expect from japanese anime makers. It's more symbolic, bringing out a strange bloody mary with sex, drugs and desires. Its similar to movies like requiem in a dream. The animation is more CG and similar to what shaft did with the monogatari series. If you're into bleach or naruto or think animation means monsters.inc or the incredibles, then i'd suggest to stay away from the series. But i loved it.

I loved the first two seasons. N now I'm waiting for season 3 which is due in July

Not much into boring american high school sex drama. Ditched it.

It's probably one of the first and best sci fi anime films made in Japan. It's an absolute must watch if you're a sci fi fan or a neon genesis fan. The description of a modern post apocalyptic Japan is reminiscent of movies like blade runner. I loved the political allusions and socio religious content and allusions related to blasphemy in it. Being an Indian, It's hard to explain but we rarely get gems and beautiful movies like these to enjoy or recall. Most movies in India are sugar coated with over the top romances and make no sense. I loved the fact that unlike Indians, Japanese film makers don't fear in telling the truth without sugar coating it. It's hard to get movies like akira these days. Since it's not available on amazon in my country I had to watch it online.

It's relatable and similar to my current life. Having spent almost 14 months in a remote village in West Bengal due to my job, I can relate to Abhishek's woes. Various concepts like that of pradhan pati is very much practiced in real life. And rumors do spread like wildfire . I liked the way the Block Development Officer was shown in a realistic way. Yes! But in real India, political pressure is also high. But there are good leaders like that of the pradhan of Phulera GP! all I can say about this show, give it a watch. It won't fail you!

The plot of the film is very similar to the tamil film minsara kanna (1999) starring vijay and monica castelino. But parasite offers a better and deeper insight into the social differences rather than the light hearted romantic comedy starring tamil superstar Vijay.

After watching ghost in the shell, akira, teknolyze, n most sci fi animes in the 90's n late 2000's , altered carbon seems like an au gratin of all those old series. Firstly, sci fi is meant to be fast while this unnecessarily pulls it up to 1 hour long. Secondly, most American tv series show sex which is mindless n meaningless and often not connected to the story. It's good if you want to waste ur time, but this isn't a must watch Netflix series. For me, devilman stood up to be the Netflix series of the year.

It's quite beautiful, visually speaking. But in terms of story, what a director could probably show in one hour, I don't understand why waste an extra hour to show nonsensical straight drama! Call me by your name should be watched for its beautiful and stunning visuals. Before watching this, I would recommend anyone to watch 'Classmates'(2016) , a japanese movie on closet gay romance because of the subtleties of such relationships. As a lover of gay romances, it's definitely a start, but it's going to take a century for western films to catch up with eastern gay love genre.
