I really do not get it why so many people reviewed this film so badly, it has decent acting and special effects, awesome interiors and an interesting story overall. It clearly took inspiration from at least two major examples of Sci-Fi like Star Trek and Star Gate, and of course you can not avoid thinking about The Thing as well. But probably the most relevant reference is the role it had to shape a masterpiece of the videogame industrie like Dead Space: there are so many similarities, both in the story and in the overall design that if the movie had been called "Dead Space" no one would have had anything to say about. Great movie, worth a watch for sure, and hopefully the series will be even better.
